Robert has more than forty years experience in the performing arts. His past training has included acting, singing, dance (tap, ballet, jazz/modern), music, fencing and other stage fighting techniques, ice skating, and ice dancing. He has also studied and worked in technical aspects of stage and film, including: directing, makeup, lighting and sound, set design, and movement/choreography.
He is an accomplished voiceover artist. He began voiceover work in 1970 and has performed voiceovers and/or on-screen talent in dozens of marketing, promotional and training videos - as well as announcing various community events, auto races, and sporting events. He has also worked as on-air talent in radio and voiced dozens of commercial and promo spots.
Robert started learning video production in 1970 using reel-to-reel video recorders, and has since advanced to digital production.
Film
Robert Donnelly has been acting in indie short films since early 2010.
His first role in indie film was in the SciFi espionage thriller False Dawn – created for the 4-minute short film contest"The Story Beyond The Still." The Writer/Director was Popeye Theophilus Barrnumb. It was completed in 2010.
Robert recently won a Casting Call Contest for the role of "The Rat" in the feature-length indie Sci Fi post-apolcalyptic film The Gunrunner Billy Kane (August 2011), a film by Michael. D. Selig. The film is currently in post-production.

Stage
Robert has been active in stage work since 1969. His first production was at age 14 as Stage Manager in Our Town. He has since been involved in more than thirty stage productions.
While Robert's focus has been performing on stage, he has held the positions or performed the functions of actor, director, assistant director, makeup, lighting tech/director, sound tech, movement/choreographer, and special effects.
